Mindful Bathing: Aligning with your desires, manifest with intention.

Self-care practices like taking a bath can be a wonderful way to relax and recharge after a busy and stressful day.

But sometimes it can be difficult to fully let go and sink into the experience, especially if you have a lot on your mind. That's where the concept of "lessening resistance" comes in.

According to Abraham Hicks, lessening resistance is about letting go of the mental and emotional blocks that prevent us from fully embracing the present moment. This can be especially helpful when it comes to self-care practices like taking a bath, as it allows us to fully relax and let go of our worries and stress.

One way to bring intention and a focus on lessening resistance into your bath time is through visualization. Dr. Masaru Emoto's famous water experiment showed that our thoughts and feelings can have a powerful impact on the physical world. By visualizing relaxation and positivity as you soak in the bath, you may be able to physically and emotionally benefit from the experience.

Here are a few other tips for creating a mindful and nourishing bath experience:

  1. Choose a calming scent. Aromatherapy can be a powerful tool for helping you relax and let go of stress. Consider adding a few drops of essential oils like lavender, ylang-ylang, or even a bath bomb to your bath water.

  2. Set the mood. Dim the lights, light some candles and play some calming music to help create a relaxing atmosphere. I prefer high-frequency music.

  3. Practice mindfulness. As you sink into the warm water, focus on your breath and let go of any racing thoughts. Feel the water raise and cover you as you breathe in and out. Try to stay present in the moment and fully experience the sensations of the bath, the smells, warmth, humid air, and more.

  4. Let go of expectations. Instead of trying to accomplish anything during your bath time, simply allow yourself to relax and let go. Don't worry about getting everything "just right" – the point is to let go of your to-do list and fully embrace the present moment.
